Frequently asked questions

Short, honest answers for employers and applicants. Binding information can only be provided by the competent authorities.

Questions from employers

Who hires the driver?

Your company. The driver receives an employment contract directly with you. We are not a temporary employment agency and do not lease out workers.

Who pays the wage?

You, as the employer, pay the agreed wage – including during a training phase. In the approval procedure, the Federal Employment Agency checks, among other things, that the employment is not on less favourable terms than for comparable domestic employees.

What training may be necessary?

For commercial driving, the driver needs an EU/EEA driving licence of the appropriate class (for example C or CE) and the professional driver qualification (initial qualification or accelerated initial qualification with an IHK examination, entered as code 95).

As a rule, a Moroccan driving licence can only be exchanged after a theory test and a practical test. The mandatory medical examinations are also required. We clarify in advance which steps are needed in each case.

What does your agency take care of?

Finding applicants, pre-selection, reviewing documents, organising introductory interviews, coordinating training with the partner driving school, help with documents and coordination with the competent authorities, and support during the start of employment. Legal advice is not part of our services.

What does the driving school take care of?

The partner driving school in Rüsselsheim provides training and exam preparation. Which parts of the training – for example the driving licence and the professional driver qualification – it actually provides is clarified bindingly before each placement.

How are lessons and employment combined?

Together with you and the driving school, we draw up a plan for lessons, time off and working hours. The legal framework requires that the driving licence and qualification can be obtained within 15 months. Working conditions must make this possible.

How are costs and the placement fee handled?

We agree our fee with you individually and in writing before the search begins. Who covers the costs of driving school, examinations, accommodation or travel is decided jointly by all parties. You should have any agreements on cost coverage or repayment reviewed by a lawyer.

Can funding options be explored?

Yes. Together with you, we check whether funding programmes may apply. A good first point of contact is the employer service of the Federal Employment Agency. Whether funding is granted, and how much, is decided solely by the competent body – we cannot promise funding.

Questions from applicants

Can I apply with a Moroccan truck driving licence?

Yes. Your Moroccan truck driving licence is in fact an important requirement for the route via training in Germany. On its own, however, it is not sufficient for commercial driving in Germany.

Can I drive trucks commercially right after arriving?

As a rule, no. A work visa does not mean that you are allowed to drive trucks commercially. For that, you need an EU/EEA driving licence of the appropriate class and the professional driver qualification. Until then, you work for the employer in a different role and complete your training.

Which qualification do I need?

You need an EU/EEA driving licence of the appropriate class (usually C or CE) and the initial qualification or accelerated initial qualification (code 95). Medical examinations and an eye test are also required. We assess individually what you already have.

Which language skills are useful or required?

A specific language certificate is not generally required for this route. However, German is very important in lessons, at work and in everyday life – and employers or training providers may have their own requirements.

Since August 2026, the IHK theory exam for the accelerated initial qualification can also be taken in several foreign languages, including Modern Standard Arabic. We clarify case by case which language is possible for which examination.

Which documents do I need at first?

You do not need any documents to get in touch – just a few details in the applicant profile. Which documents will later be needed for the employer, the visa and the authorities depends on the current requirements, for example those of the German Embassy in Rabat. We will tell you in good time what is needed.

Where does the training take place?

Training takes place at our partner driving school in Rüsselsheim am Main. Examinations are taken at the competent bodies, for example the Chamber of Industry and Commerce or the official driving test centre.

How are accommodation and commuting organised?

We agree with the employer that accommodation, workplace and driving school fit together and can be reached without a car of your own. Who provides or arranges the accommodation and who bears which costs is openly clarified before the contract is signed.

Is an application already a commitment?

No. Your profile helps us make an initial assessment. There is only a commitment once an employer offers you an employment contract – and even then, the authorities decide on approval and the visa.

Do I have to pay for the placement?

No. You do not pay any fee for our placement service – the fee is agreed with the employer. Other costs may arise, for example for a passport, translations or visa fees. We discuss openly who covers which costs.

Ready for the first step?

The profile takes about five minutes, is non-binding and does not require any documents.
